Hi there, I hope you’re having a good week!
Today we’re celebrating the Hero Arts Winter 2020 catalog with a blog hop and giveaway! If you arrived from Mindy Eggen Design, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Hero Arts Blog. Check the bottom of this post for the full blog hop list and information about the giveaway!
My first card today is quick and easy and has a ton of sparkle. I started with an A2-sized panel of Adriatic cardstock which I placed in a Misti stamping tool. I positioned the new Bare Branched Tree Bold Prints background stamp in the Misti, inked it up with Embossing & Watermark Ink, and stamped onto the cardstock. I repeated this twice to make sure I had a nice amount of embossing ink on the panel and then I removed the panel from the Misti and sprinkled it with Silver Sparkle embossing powder. I tapped off the excess powder and then melted it with a heat gun.
Next I used the new Joy Ornament fancy die to cut a piece of Cherry cardstock. I just wanted to use the word part of the die so I trimmed it from the rest of the die cut and rounded off the ends of the “j” and the “y.” I added skinny strips of foam tape to the the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the background. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
For my second card, I began again by positioning my cardstock (this time Neenah Solar White) and background stamp into a Misti. This gorgeous stamp is the new Snowflake Swirl Bold Prints. I created an ombre blue look by inking the lower half of the stamp in Cornflower ink and then softening the edge of the inked area by dabbing it with a rag. I stamped onto the panel, cleaned the stamp, and then inked the top half of the stamp in Indigo ink, again softening the edges. Last, I inked up the very top of the stamp in Navy ink, softened the edges, and stamped again.
While the panel was drying, I used the new Tri-Fold Edge Village dies to cut two panels of Neenah. This beautiful die set comes with three layers, but I only used two. Onto one of the layers I stamped “Merry Christmas” (from the new Gift Peek-A-Boo Infinity Parts stamp set).
To assemble the card, I backed both village layers with foam tape and adhered them to the background which I adhered, in turn, to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for coming by! Your next stop on the hop is Amy Kolling.

Both of your cards are gorgeous, but I especially like the icy look of the bare branched tree! And that red Joy, really gives some festive pop to your card.
