Hello there, I hope your week is going well and that you’re keeping safe and healthy.

Today we’re celebrating parents and spreading the world about Altenew’s card drive to collect cards for seniors living in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they are not forgotten. For my card today I used a beautiful floral image from the Everlasting Happiness stamp set. I stamped the image in black pigment ink onto Fabriano Artistico Extra White Cold Press watercolor paper.  Then, I used Fresh Lemon and Crimson Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers, from the Tropical Fiesta marker set to color the three large flowers.  I used Desert Night, a blue from the same market set, and a waterbrush pen filled with clean clear water, to color the small leaves and to add a bit shading around the flowers.  Then, I used Ruby Red to color the teeny red flowers (Ruby Red comes in the Winter Wonderland marker set).

To finish off this one-layer card, I stamped the “you matter” sentiment from the Fancy Greetings stamp set in the same black pigment ink and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

In addition to collecting cards, Altenew is donating 20% of the profits earned by Father’s day, 6/21/19, from selected stamp sets to the Food Bank of Central New York to support seniors in need.  Here are the items in the collection:

Thank you for the inspiration and the idea for the sentiment, I have been stumped as most of my stamps are very specific, but this is perfect for the drive.   36. Great sentiment choice which should give the recipient a wonderful sense they are important and loved. The bright color choices will certainly lift their spirit. I loved the blue around the flowers which made them pop even more. Great job which will give great joy!
