Hi there, I hope you’re having a lovely day!
Today I’m sharing a cute chameleon from the new Chameleon Friends stamp set from Technique Tuesday. He comes with a slithery pal but I thought he could have the spotlight for this card.
I started by stamping in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I got down to coloring. I used B000, BG02, BG05, and BG07 for his blue stripes, and BG11, BG32, and BG34 for this green stripes. For the leaves I used YG05 and G14, and for the branch I used E23 and E39. I die cut him out, and used the die three more times on plain white cardstock. I layered and adhered all four pieces together and set him aside.
On a 4bar-sized piece of Neenah, I used foam blending tools to blend Lucky Clover, Cracked Pistachio, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks to suggest a leafy background and a blue sky. Then I splattered the background with clean clear water which I let sit for a few seconds before picking it up with a clean paper towel. I trimmed a quarter inch off the length and width and then adhered it to a 4bar card base.
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then adhered the chameleon onto the card to finish.
Thank you so much for visiting!
