Hi there, I hope you’re having a lovely day!
Today I’ve got a clean and simple card to share featuring one of the very first stamp sets that I bought from the Essentials By Ellen line over at Ellen Hutson. I just love Julie Ebersole’s designs!
I started by stamping the sweet whale from the S’Whale stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. Using B60, C3, C1, and C0, I added some quick shading to the whale and then stamped the little school of fish in Altenew Marigold dye ink. Then I die cut both out with the coordinating dies, die cutting extra pieces to stack and adhere together to create dimensional pieces.
For the background, I trimmed a piece of Neenah down to 4″ x 5.25′ and then used the Alpine Snowfall die to cut out the bubbles. I used a sentiment from the stamp set, curving it on an acrylic block to match the curve of the bubbles, and stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
Onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah, I scribbled and loosely blended B12, B16, and B18 so that the ombre blues would appear behind the bubble openings in the card front.
To assemble the card I adhered the bubble piece to the ombre piece with foam tape and then adhered the whale and school of fish. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
I think this creation is really s’whale, Seeka!! a darling Summer use for that Winter die!
