Sending Love | Technique Tuesday July Release Blog Hop

hollyhocks-seeka-1

Hi there, I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

Technique Tuesday is celebrating their July release with a blog hop and if you arrived from the Kira Ness’ blog, you’re right on track!

Today I’m sharing the first of several cards I made using the new Hello Hollyhocks stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is the latest in the Greenhouse Society collection which features a beautiful floral stamp set each month.  You can even subscribe so you never miss out!

I started by stamping the Hollyhock image in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a 4bar-sized piece Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  I positioned the image in Misti, stamped, then rotated the cardstock 180 degrees and stamped again.  I repositioned the stamp into on of the empty corners and then stamped, rotated, and stamped again for a symmetrically stamped background.

Then I used the Sending Love dies to die cut the sentiment out of another piece of Neenah.  I replaced the fall out pieces into the negative cuts and used Post-it Tape to hold everything together so I could easily color over the sentiment.  I used a rainbow of Copics to create a rainbow and then I carefully removed the two words and adhered them, slightly offset, to a second set of die cuts that I’d cut out of black cardstock.

To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment to the background and then adhered the card front to an 4bar-sized card base.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Your next stop is Ana Anderson!

Love the rainbow coloring on the sentiment and how you used the hollyhock stamp to create a background!

Can’t wait to poke around more on your blog – thanks for the inspiration Seeka!

  2. Your card is so beautiful! I love how the flowers are left black and white and the saying is colored with the colors of the rainbow.
