Dainty Blooms Cover Die
For my first card, I used the Dainty Blooms Cover Die which cuts so beautifully. I cut an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and then, rather than letting all of the pieces fall out, I carefully turned my die cutting sandwich upside down before carefully removing the cutting place so that most of the pieces stayed in place and the bottom of the die cut was exposed. I criss-crossed thin paper tape over this back side and then removed the die cut from the die and replaced any pieces that had fallen out.
I turned the die cut piece right side up and loosely colored in the flowers not taking too much care to stay in the lines since I planned to add another die cut over top. I used E01, E02, YR02, and R22 for the blooms, with a bit of Y18 for the centers and anthers of the flowers, and YG01 and YG13 for the leaves.
When I finished coloring, I die cut another piece of Neenah Solar White, this time allowing all of the small pieces to fall out. I used a Zig 2-way Glue Pen to add adhesive to the back of the die cut and then layered and adhered it over the top of my colored piece. This top die cut hid all of my messy coloring 🙂
I used a black pigment ink to stamp the sentiment, which is from the Handpicked Bouquet stamp set, onto a strip of Neenah which I then adhered to the card front with foam tape. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base to finish.
Delicate Mandala Die
For this simple card using the gorgeous and intricate Delicate Mandala Die, I masked off the edges of an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and then used a foam blending tool to ink up the exposed area in the center in Dusk Crisp Dye ink. I added more ink to the left side than to the right to create a very subtle ombre effect and then removed the mask.
I used the die on a piece of Neenah Solar White and poked out most, but not all, of the little pieces so that there were a lot of peek throughs to the blue background, but also some white-on-white texture within the die cut.
I added glue to the back of the areas where I left fall out pieces in place and then adhered the mandala to the background. Then I trimmed off the part of the mandala that extended past the edge of the card and added a small sentiment strip using foam tape. This little sentiment is from the Flower Vine stamp set. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Virginia Rose 3D Die Set
For my last card, I used the lovely Virginia Rose 3D Die Set. I decided to go for a bold and modern look so I die cut each piece out of Neenah Solar White and colored each piece with no shading, just solid color. I used Y17, R14, and RV17 for the petals, black 1000 for the center of the large flower (I left the white piece peeking through the black piece white), and YG01 and YG25 for the leaves. I adhered all the pieces of the blooms together and then set all of the pieces aside to work on the background.
Just like for the card above, I masked off the edges of a piece of bristol smooth cardstock and then blended Soft Lilac Crisp Dye ink in the exposed center. Though subtle, the edges of the ink-blended rectangle are a bit darker than the center, where I only added a very little bit of ink. I peeled away the mask and then stamped the sentiment, which is from the Pinstripe stamp set.
To assemble the card I used a combination of liquid adhesive and Zots Bling adhesive dots to adhere all of the leaves and blooms. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Oh my goodness I am so enjoying this hop of standalone dies! I can not pick a favorite of your cards because they are all so fantastic! I am enjoying the Virginia 3D die one with the great colors and I often forget to just color in the flowers vs die cutting them several time out of different colors! I also like how you colored in the Dainty Blooms Cover Die and then placed a clean white one atop it to hide the coloring out of the lines. Great idea! I need to remember this! Thanks for the fab cards!
